I'm going to give blogging a try. I have to give a huge thanks to Tonya for helping me get started. She has a great blog and amazing products out there on the internet and inspired me to try too. You can check out her blog here.
I am an elementary school teacher and absolutely love working with kids. I enjoy teaching them and laughing with them every day. This is my fifth year teaching and I am constantly learning new things from the students every year; even if I am learning something as simple as the fact that "I smell like sour cream." (Teaching keeps you humble.)
I'm going to try to share some of the funny moments, lessons I learn, things I create through my blog and hopefully connect with some other awesome bloggers out there!
Carla...you are awesome! AND also an amazing teacher. The things your kids say always make me laugh! I am SO glad you took this journey! I can't wait to see what happens from here:)

Welcome to the blogging world! You are going to love it! One thing I've found helpful is to participate in linky parties. It helps drive traffic to your blog, & it helps when the blogging block hits, too! Best of luck to you!

Thanks so much the tip about linky parties. That'll be my next thing to learn. I feel like there is so much!
DeleteCarla, good luck in the world of blogging. I don't have any tips since I am just a blog reader and not a blogger. I am excited to see what fun and amazing things you will share. Lots of luck!

Thanks! If you ever start a blog let me know!
DeleteWelcome to Blogging! I am a new blogger myself. Blog about stuff that is "real" - the everyday not just the exciting.

Welcome! It's a lot of fun. :) I love melonheadz or 3AM Teacher for clipart (they usually offer some great freebies), and Kimberly Geswein for fonts. Ladybug's Teacher Files also has some GREAT blogger tutorials. Good Luck!

Yay, I'm excited to check out these other blogs. Thanks!
DeleteBest wishes on your new endeavor! Since I am not a blogger my tip is not too technical, but it is a lifesaver if you don't already do it. When you discover a new blog add it to google reader...then when you do a search there you can find things they published before you found them. (Also faster than trying to rack your brain wondering whose blog you saw that great tutorial on!) Ditto the 3am teacher for clipart...lots of freebies!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks for the tip. I haven't heard that before!
DeleteWelcome to blogging. I'm pretty new to blogging and TpT so I don't have a lot of advice - just comment and join in. I love Ashley Hughes, Melonheadz and Scrappin Doodles for clip art.

Thanks! Good luck to you too!
DeleteWelcome to blogging. Hope you enjoy the adventure! Some of favorites are: Hello Literacy for borders and clip art by Creative Clips and KPM Doodles.

You have a great blog layout. I love it. I don't really have a tip for you. I am still debating on starting my own blog but as of right now I am just a blog reader so congratulations on starting one. By the way, I love the story of how you got your name. So fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Kids are hilarious and I've learned to laugh with them instead of getting upset. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how great I'll be at the whole blog thing but I'm enjoying it so far. If you do decide to start one let me know, I'd love to become a follower!
Hello, I just found your blog through the North Carolina linky party. I'm relatively new to blogging as well. Welcome to the world of blogging. I'm your newest follower.
